The Mission:
The Biennial Bangladeshi-American Convention, an activity of BAFI, seeks to accurately project community achievements and contributions, and foster networking among well-established community members from different fields.

Goals:
Through the Convention, BAFI will showcase and celebrate community achievements and culture in a fun-filled environment with family and friends, recognize the contributions of selected Bangladeshi-Americans nominated by professional organizations, recognize the contributions of selected Americans for their support to the cause of Bangladesh and global humanity in 1971 and since, foster greater integration of Bangladeshi-Americans in mainstream American politics, and launch support for arsenic issues for the benefit of an estimated 500 million persons globally.

Main Attractions:
The Bangladeshi-American Convention 2007 consists of two very exciting programs: one at Hilton McLean, and the other at the famous Patriot Center in Northern Virginia.

To make the experience truly memorable, Hilton McLean has prepared Bangladeshi food menus for both days. There will be a formal sit-down dinner with celebrities and Bangladeshi artists, and a wonderful program of music, continuous Bangla feature films with English sub-title, and informational seminars and workshops. There will be plenty of space for relaxation, reunions, and networking.

Ticket Information:
For the Hotel program, the entrance fee is only $5 per individual and a maximum of $15 per family; complimentary to hotel guests and children under 10 years of age only. There is no charge for vehicle parking at the hotel.

At the BAFI Store (Click Here), you can check out and pay for the sit-down dinner, become a donor, BAFI life-time member or a sponsor, pay for stalls, or pay to place advertisement in magazine.

For the BAFI Nite '07 event with famous Bangladeshi artists at the Patriot Center, ticket prices are $20, $30, $40, $75, and $100. The VIP seats at $75 and VVIP seats at $100 are limited in number. These VIP and VVIP seats are only available through the Online BAFI Store (Click Here). All other tickets can be purchased at any Ticketmaster (Click Here), at the Patriot Center Box Office (Click Here), or at retail stores, including Macy*s, located throughout the United States (Click Here).

There is no parking fee at the Patriot Center and there will be free bus shuttle for hotel convention guests to and from the Patriot Center for the event.
